Thanksgiving in a Bag

This Thanksgiving, let’s come together to bless families in our community who need a little extra help. In partnership with families from the Williamsburg and Western Brown communities, we’re extending this outreach to others locally who may be in need.

How You Can Help:

This year, we’re inviting the congregation to prayerfully consider sponsoring a family for Thanksgiving. Currently, we have about 30 families in need, and we would love your help in blessing them. If you know of a family who could benefit, please let us know as soon as possible.
Ways You Can Get Involved:

Sponsor a family – Families range in size from 2 to 9 people. You can provide the full meal (including turkey) and deliver it directly.
Partial support – If you’d rather not purchase the turkey or deliver the items, our outreach team can handle that for you. Donating non-perishable items is also a great way to help.
Team up – Partner with another family to sponsor one together.
Give financially – Donations are welcome, and our outreach team will purchase what’s needed.
Pray & encourage – Lift these families in prayer and consider writing them an encouraging note.

Operation Christmas Child Packing Party and Dinner!

Spread the holiday cheer and join us for a heartwarming evening of giving back on Saturday, November 15th!

Yesterday's Kids – Join Us for a Special Afternoon!

Date: Sunday, November 16, 2025

Time: 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM

Location: Lytle Trace, 299 Lytle Ave., Williamsburg, OH 45176

Come be part of a heartwarming afternoon as we visit Lytle Trace to interact with the senior residents. This special time usually includes food, fun activities, and uplifting music. The residents are engaging, lively, and love connecting with visitors.

Bible-Based Workshops: How to Navigate the Teenage Years

Does your teenager need help navigating tough topics?
We want to show them what the Bible says on these topics and help them build a strong foundation in Christ.

Talking points this month:

Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit-it’s sacred and valuable.
You were bought at a price-Jesus gave his life for you.
True beauty comes from a heart that honors God, not outward appearance.

Community Outreach Event Announcement Join the Outreach Team in Making a Difference at Lightshine Community Center!

Date: Monday, November 17, 2025
Time: 4:15 pm-5:15 pm (arrival time) – 7:00 pm ️

What: We will prepare, provide, and serve a heartwarming meal to approximately 75 people from our community. Additionally, we are seeking volunteers who can spend some time sitting and interacting with the guests while they enjoy their meal.

Where: Lightshine Community Center 4359 E. Bauman Ln. Batavia, OH 45103 (It’s not at The Crossing. It’s the red brick building to the right of the church.)

Come be a part of this wonderful initiative and make a positive impact on the lives of those in need. Your time and dedication can truly make a difference.

We also need donations of desserts. Please contact Rachel if you can help by providing a dessert for this event.
