Capital Campaign Updates

It has been a really exciting year so far for TLC, I am so proud of our church family. We have been working so hard on bringing in coins for “Coins to Connect”, our “Seeds to Sew” campaign has been wonderful. Below are our total so far this  year and remember we have only been doing this since June!!

Collect to Connect (Coin collection campaign)

$2,144.79 (Since October 31, 2017)

Seeds to Grow

$3,165.90

T-Shirts (I’m A Part of The Connection)

$320.00

Photo Connection

$20

TLC Kid’s Paint Night

$60 (We have 7 signed up so far)

Our total to date is $10,308.21. I don’t know about you, but I am impressed with our church family. You have worked so hard for the Capital Campaign Team. I know we are asking a lot of you and pushing you a little further than you want to be pushed, but we are so excited as we move forward and see what God is doing and going to do. After the 2nd week of December through the second week of January, the capital campaign team is going to be taking a small break. We want to make sure that you, as well as us, spend time with family. It is also a very busy time of year, but don’t worry, we will be back after this time and ready to go for our next project.

Until then, keep bringing in coins, finish up whatever project you are working on for “Seeds to Grow”, and remember to sign up for photos, get a T-shirt, and sign up for “Kid’s Paint Night”.

2018 will be a busy year for TLC, busy but so exciting. God is good!!!

Thanks Lynn

Capital Campaign Updates

We finished our first quarter of the capital campaign and so far our totals are:

Paint to Connect $575

TLC Golf Scramble $4661

Connect to Connect $1642 (as of 9/12/17)

Seeds to Sew  $1858.50 (as of 9/12/17)

Total $8736.50

We heard so many great stories of how people used their seed money to grow, mowing yards, baked goods, homemade preserves, homemade salsa, corn, green beans, knitting, painting and carpentry. I even had someone use the savings from coupons before they knew it they collected over $200. I am amazed with our church, we have so much kindness and generosity.

I know we still have several people who are working on “Seeds to Sew” and we received a few jars of coins since the last count so we are progressing towards our goal and just about ready to add another piece of the puzzle to our board. Please don’t loose heart, this is going to be a long process. God is and will continue to bless us in this journey. The capital campaign team is working on more fundraisers and those should be beginning soon.

Remember the kids paint night will be coming up on December 2, 2017. This will be open to area churches as well as our own family. This is great opportunity to take a night out to do some Christmas shopping for yourself or just enjoy a nice evening away. The kids will be painting a picture that will be wrapped, this will be great gift for grandparents. Space is limited so if you want to sign up, please do. If you have any questions, please see Lisa Tilton or Lynn Fee

The capital campaign team is very appreciative of all of your support, we have a long way to go but we are getting closer each day towards our goal but our ultimate goal is to be an impact for Jesus  in our church and in our community.

Thank you again for all of your support.

Capital Campaign Updates

Thank you so much for those who came out and worked at the Golf Scramble. We had 19 teams of 4, or 76 golfers. We could not have asked for better weather. A huge thank you to Andrew Stroud for taking the lead on this campaign and for those who came out and helped. From the comments that I heard, everything went very smooth and this is one event that we would like to do annually. God truly did open up the floodgates, we received $4,661 in profit for the day. We are well over $5,000 so far. We still have our “Seeds to Sew”, campaign going on as well as “Collect to Connect”. We only have a few more weeks to get our coin jars turned and our seed money. I have been watching and have been hearing stories of how people are using their talents with the seed money.  I am so excited to see all that God is doing in people’s lives and at TLC. I still believe that we can’t out give God, he will bless our efforts far beyond what we can measure!!

Capital Campaign Updates

Lots of great things happening at TLC, I have been so excited to see everyone’s posts on Facebook in regards to the “Seeds to Sow” campaign. We have so many people taking $10 and using it to multiply the money. Some of the creative ways are green beans, strawberry jam, salsa, corn, potholders, cupcakes, brownies, etc. We only have a month left to get money turned in, here are the totals so far we have received:

Paint To Connect– $575.00

Seeds to Sew–$245.00

Collect to Connect–$857.80

Golf Connect- TBA, we have 17 teams signed up to play on 8/12/17

Keep up the good work, we have a long way to go and a lot of work ahead of us. None of this is possible without God, give him the praise!

Capital Campaign Updates

We had a wonderful turnout for our first “Paint to Connect”. 18 people came out on a very rainy night, but we had a great time. Thanks to Emma and Darcy for the excellent painting demonstration.

Out “Collect to Connect”, is in full swing. So far we have collected $268.00. That total did not include the jars brought in on Sunday. Just remember to keep the jar after you bring it in to fill again. This will run through September 10th.

“Seeds to Connect and sew”, started today. I was very excited Kris did an awesome job to inspire us to grow our talents. If you were not there on Sunday, we have $10 to take and multiply based on the parable of the ten minas, similar to the parable of the talents. We still have some envelopes available.  I have already seen and heard people figuring out how to grow this. This will run until the September 10th.

On August 12th, we will be having a golf scramble at White Oak golf course. To sign up go to truelifecc.com. Under the Capital Campaign tab, select, golf and register a team of four, if you do not have a team we will place you with a foursome. The cost is $60 per person and it includes lunch and drink. We will also be raffling prizes and there will be a split the pot. Please invite friends and family

Capital Campaign Update

Kick off for TLC’s capital campaign officially began today. Our team, Anna and Andrew Stroud, Lisa Tilton, Bill Fee, Josh Fite and Angie Mckibben have been awesome! They have so many great ideas for “fun-raisers”.

As I previously stated, this is going to be a great year. It’s going to take a lot of work to raise $200,000 but I truly believe that God is faithful. Don’t get too upset with us this year, we are going to work hard but we will also have a lot of fun.

TLC Collect to Connect— If you did not get a jar today, we still have several left. Take the jar home with you and fill it with coins or bills and return it to the table in the back or to a team member to receive a ticket for a prize drawing. This will run until the 2nd week of September.

TLC Paint to Connect– The date for this is June 23rd, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. To register for this you can either go to truelifecc.com and link under the “Capital Campaign” tab, where you will be able to register online. At this time the payment option is not set up yet, you can drop your check in the offering and mark it “Paint to Connect” or give your check to Lisa Tilton or Lynn Fee. You can message one of us and we can register for you. Emma Schaffer and Darcy Prather will be our artist for the evening. Please sign up, as spaces are limited.

We will try and update each month to keep you informed of all of the fun raisers coming up. Keep checking facebook and the website.
